Ratnadurga Fort

Ratnadurg Fort is encircled by the Arabian Sea from three sides. The dimensions of the horseshoe shaped fort are 1300 m length and 1000 m width. A lighthouse named as the Siddha lighthouse is situated at one of the bastions. A fort which is surrounded by the Arebian Sea from three sides. The fort is having a shape of Horse Shoe and a length approximately 1300 m and width 1000m. Its having strong fortifications from south-east to west side.

Ganapatipule Beach

Shri Devi Bhagwati Mandir

The temple is a part of Ratnadurga Fort. So, after a brief visit to the beach, one can explore the fort that offers the most beautiful view of the Arabian sea, and Mirkarwada Jetty. Within the fort, there is a temple of Hanuman too.

Best time to visit the temple is the Navratri festival as during this time the temples remains decorated with flowers and festoons. The temple attracts a lot of crowd during the Navratri festival, so for all those who want to avoid crowd, don't visit here during this festival.

Bhatye Beach

The length of the beach is approximately 1.5 kms and it’s very flat and straight. One can enjoy the Nature at its best here. The Ratnagiri light house and the famous Madavi beach of Ratnagiri city are visible from Bhatye Beach. The place is a paradise for a person who loves the Chat Items ( a famous snacks from India). Swayambhu Ganpati Temple

Located at Ganpatipule in Ratnagiri district, the Swayambhu Ganapati temple is a temple you must add to your bucket list because it is an old, majestic temple whose beauty cannot be experienced merely through photographs. It is as old as 4000 years. It is dedicated to Lord Ganpati.

The main idol of the temple is that of Lord Ganpati, who is a Swayambhu or self manifested. It is formed of white sand. It is placed in the copper made sanctum sanatorium, which on getting the sunlight during sunrise and sunset appears immensely beautiful.

Jay Vinayak Temple Jaigad

The temple is dedicated to Lord Vinayak, another name of Lord Ganesh. This temple is built by JSW Energy Ltd in 2003 thus it is also known as the Jindal Ganpati among the locales. The temple is surrounded with the clean and beautifully maintained Garden. The fresh air and cool environment is like a relaxing therapy for all the tourists who visit this temple.

The temple was built in Pagoda style of architecture having three layers of roof. The main Ganesh idol is made of brass and holds a very peaceful expression.
